Supporting our Troops through the Alpha Marine Fund

Flag in Iraq Many of our employees have family members in military service who have been deployed overseas. One such family established the Alpha Marine Fund after hearing from their son (a sergeant in the 1st Marine Division, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, Alpha Company, and 1st Platoon) that his platoon was in need of the following items:

  • Water-tight GPS with cases, particularly the Garmin ETREX Legend, most popular for military & private companies in Iraq
  • Range finders (Night/Day)
  • White socks, underwear, toiletries, sports drinks, cameras, gloves, baby wipes, etc.

Out of the many worthy organizations that help our troops, this cause was closest to home for FairfieldNodal, which donated $9000 and 2 GPS receivers. Several FairfieldNodal vendors and a number of our employees made monetary and in-kind donations, for which our soldiers were very thankful. All the men in the platoon, including two who paid the ultimate price for freedom, signed a FairfieldNodal flag.
