Technology Group

The Technology Group (TG) is composed of research geophysicists, research programmers and software development personnel many having in excess of 30 years industry experience.

The TG runs a continuous research and development effort to find the next generation of processing algorithms for more accurate and efficient seismic imaging. Ever-increasing computational demands are the force behind Fairfield’s future developments. Fairfield makes a concerted effort to exploit the benefits of high speed, mass-produced microprocessor technology in a fast-evolving supercomputer environment.

The TG develops the most sophisticated software and hardware configurations available to process data and create accurate images of the earths subsurface for geologic interpretation.

High performance networking with Super Cluster technology empowers Fairfield with supercomputing capabilities that are beyond cost-effective. Superior algorithms produce the best available noise reduction, multiple removal, pre-stack time and depth imaging, and multi-component seismic processing.

Area Geophysicists

The Area Geophysicists Group (AG) is composed of highly experienced technically oriented personnel many with in excess of 30 years industry experience. This group is headed by the Data Processing Division’s Chief Geophysicist.

The AG’s provide continuous technical support for data processing personnel on a daily basis. As result of their continuing exposure to production processing issues they also provide specifications to the TG for original and evolutionary software enhancements.

Their primary responsibility is to insure the current and future quality of high technology imaged seismic data. By creating advanced hardware, software and developing highly capable human resources, Fairfield provides the oil and gas industry with risk-reducing solutions to the meet the challenges of the 21st century.
