Enhancing and clarifying the deep and ultra-deep structures in our coverage area
FairfieldNodal is a leader in non-exclusive seismic data, with more than 2700 blocks of high quality 2D* and 3D data.
FairfieldNodal began acquiring 2D multi-client streamer data in 1981, logging more than 69,000 line miles in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM). In 1989, FairfieldNodal commenced acquisition of the largest contiguous non-exclusive 3D database on the GOM shelf. All data was recorded using FairfieldNodal’s own radio telemetry systems with bottom referenced phones.
With improvements in data acquisition and data processing equipment and techniques, FairfieldNodal continuously upgrades its 3D data, most recently reprocessing the entire database using Curved Ray Prestack Time Migration (PSTM). To further enhance and clarify the deep and ultra deep structures in our coverage area, we are applying Prestack Depth Migration to the entire library. To date, more than 1800 blocks of data have been depth migrated. Gathers, velocities, and field tapes are available for all blocks of 3D data.
Contract reprocessing is also available for those clients wishing to employ a “hands on” approach to fine tuning their prospects.
Future acquisition plans to expand our 3D data library are underway for the South Additions and Flex Trend. All new 3D data will be acquired using FairfieldNodal’s Z700 data acquisition system, the latest in marine acquisition technology, and just one of FairfieldNodal’s innovative Z Family of recording equipment.
*FairfieldNodal’s 2D database is brokered exclusively by Polaris. For more information, please contact Mr. Pat Klem at 281-367-6000 or 713-252-0130 (cell).
