Performing cost-effective supercomputing on large-scale projectsOur Data Processing Division is recognized as an industry leader in 3D geophysical data processing and analysis. By applying advanced imaging algorithms and utilizing advanced networking and workstation clustering technology, we are able to perform cost-effective supercomputing on large-scale projects. |
Advanced hardware and software capabilities
FairfieldNodal develops and utilizes the most sophisticated software and hardware configurations to image the earth’s subsurface for accurate geologic interpretation. High-performance networking and workstation-cluster technology provide cost-effective supercomputing using advanced algorithms for:
- noise reduction
- separation of upgoing and downgoing wavefields
- multiple attenuation
- anisotropic model building
- prestack time and depth imaging, including Kirchhoff, Wave Equation, and Reverse Time Migration
- reservoir description technology including SPICE®
- mode converted wave processing
Our advanced hardware and software capabilities, coupled with our worldwide experience in marine streamer, shallow water, transition zone and high-land seismic data analysis and processing, enable us to provide the highest quality geophysical services in a timely, cost-effective manner.
Ongoing research and development
FairfieldNodal maintains a continuous research and development effort in the next generation of processing algorithms for more accurate and efficient seismic imaging. Ever-increasing computational demands drive our future developments in seismic computing to exploit the benefits of high-speed, mass-produced microprocessor technology in an evolving supercomputer environment. Our hardware, software and people resources provide the oil and gas industry with risk-reducing solutions to challenging exploration and production problems of the 21st century.
We operate super-cluster computer centers in Houston, Texas; Denver, Colorado; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; and Jakarta, Indonesia.
